Every single detail was manually created, including converting the gold bars into gold foils and then mounting the foils on copper. The Shore Temple (c. 725 AD) is a complex of temples and shrines that overlooks the shore of the Bay of Bengal. It is located in Mahabalipuram, about 60 kilometres (37 mi) south of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. It is a structural temple, built with blocks of granite, dating from the 8th century AD. At the time of its creation, the site was a busy port during the reign of Narasimhavarman II of the Indian Pallava dynasty. As one of the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram, it has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. It is one of the oldest structural (versus rock-cut) stone temples of Southern India.

The Botanical Garden is situated in the southwest of the Puducherry city. The oval shaped garden spreads over an area of about 11 hectares. The mean annual temperature is about 28℃ and mean monthly temperature ranges between 31.7℃ (May, June) and 24.2℃ (December and January). The mean annual rainfall in 1253 mm. The Botanical Garden was established by the French in 1826, however mention of it has been made in 1740 itself. Dhanushkodi was until a few years ago a wonderful temple on the southern tip of India. However, due to a natural calamity, the cyclone, it got completely washed away. It holds the advantage of being on an island and is exquisitely covered by waters on all the four sides of it. It is sandwiched between the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple, the five-faced Hanuman Temple, is situated at a distance of 2 km from Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is said that Lord had revealed his five faces here, hence the idol of Hanuman is depicted with five faces which are of Lord Hanuman in the middle along with faces of Lord Narasimha, Lord Adivaraha, Lord Garuda and Lord Hayagriva on the sides. Jada Tirtham is around 4.0 km from Ramanathaswamy Temple, on the way to Dhanushkodi & known among the devotees for the sacred pond. It is believed that when Rama was about to worship Shiva Lingam in Rameshwaram after killing Ravana, he washed his Jata (i.e. his matted hair) in Jada Tirtham. There is a temple next to the pond of Jada Tirtham which lies within Kaveri Tirtham and holds its own mythological importance. Jada Tirtham is believed to be the only place in India where Lord Kapardisvara is worshipped. The temple is constructed near the trunk of a large Peepal tree and all the deities are supposed to have rested there while they had been in Vanvas. Although the temple is small in construction but is a master piece of lattice work and the architecture is simply spectacular. It is famous for its beauty and uniqueness. Gandamadana Parvatham also known as Rama Foot is the highest point in Rameshwaram and has the imprints of Lord Rama on a chakra. The best part however is that you get to see the aerial view of Rameshwaram Island and the views are breathtaking. The Ramar Padam, which has the footprints of Lord Rama is on the next level. As per a popular belief Rama stood at this point to find the whereabouts of Sita, while she was captured by Ravana. A stone slab with the impressions of two feet is presumed to be the place where Lord Rama stood. The foot impressions as well as the delicate lines in the foot are also visible here. A mandap with roof has been built around the spot. Apart from this place, you can also visit Sukreevar Temple and Satchi Hanuman Temples on the way.

This temple, which has been built in Dravidian style of architecture, has an attractive structure with carved pillar depicting statues of deities and instances from Ramayana.
