Abbey Falls (also spelled Abbi Falls and Abbe Falls) is a waterfall in Kodagu, in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, India. It is located 8 km from the Madikeri, 122 km from Mysore, 144 km from Mangalore and 268 km from Bangalore.

Madikeri Fort, also called Mercara Fort, is a fort in Madikeri, in the Kodagu district of the Indian state of Karnataka, first built by Mudduraja in the second half of the 17th century. Mudduraja also built the palace within the fort. It was rebuilt and restructured in granite by Tipu Sultan, and the site was then renamed Jaffarabad. Madikeri Fort is one of the many forts built or rebuilt by Tipu Sultan during his reign in the second half of the 18th century. In 1790, Dodda Vira Rajendra took control of the fort. The palace underwent renovations by Linga Rajendra II from 1812 to 1814.[1] The British made additions to the fort in 1834. Notable structures in the fort include two stone statues of elephants at the northeast entry and a church in the southeast corner.

Raja's Seat (Seat of the King) is a culturally significant site and tourist attraction in Madikeri of Coorg District. It is 270km away from Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. Raja's Seat is located in the middle of a garden called as Gandhi Mantap. It is a structure made of brick and mortar and consists of four pillars that are bridged by arches. This place was used by the Kings and the Queens of Kodagu who were the rulers of Karnataka for over 200 years from 1600 to 1834 CE. The garden is known for its scenery and was a favourite place of recreation for the Rajas and hence was permanently associated with them. It is built on a high-level ground overlooking the cliffs and valleys to the west.

Tibetian Golden Temple also known as Namdroling Monastery is located in Kushalnagar which is around 35 kms from Madikeri. This is one of the largest teaching centre of Tibetan Budhhism. The Monastery has one of the finest quality architecture and attractive artworks on the wall.

The Omkareshwara Temple in Madikeri, Coorg, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, built in 1820 by King Lingarajendra II. It is known for its unique Indo-Saracenic architecture, which blends a traditional Keralite tiled roof with Islamic domes, minarets, and decorative paintings. The temple houses a Lingam believed to have been brought from Kashi and is surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere and a water tank with fish. King Lingarajendra II built the temple in 1820. The temple was constructed as an act of penance after the king killed an innocent Brahmin. Legend says the king was tormented by the Brahmin's spirit and built the temple to find peace. The Shiva Lingam installed in the temple was brought from Kashi.

Dubare Elephant Camp is a popular wildlife and eco-tourism destination located on the banks of the River Cauvery in the Kodagu (Coorg) district of Karnataka, India. Managed by the Karnataka Forest Department and Jungle Lodges and Resorts, this camp offers visitors a unique opportunity to interact closely with elephants in a natural and responsible setting. Dubare was originally a training camp for elephants used in the Mysore Dussehra festival and forestry operations. Today, it serves as a conservation and eco-education center where tourists can learn about elephants, their biology, behavior, and relationship with humans. The camp houses several elephants that were once part of the Karnataka Forest Department’s logging and patrolling operations. Apart from elephants, the surrounding Dubare Reserve Forest is home to animals like spotted deer, gaur, sambhar, and several bird species. The serene river setting and lush greenery make it a peaceful retreat for nature lovers.

The Chamundeshwari Temple is a Hindu temple located on the top of Chamundi Hills about 13 km from the palace city of Mysuru in the state of Karnataka in India.[1] The temple was named after Chamundeshwari or, the fierce form of Shakti, a tutelary deity held in reverence for centuries by the Maharaja of Mysuru. Chamundeshwari is called by the people of Karnataka as Nada Devi (ನಾಡ ದೇವಿ), which means state Goddess. It is situated at the elevation of around 3300 ft from the mean sea level. It is believed that Goddess Durga slayed the demon king Mahishasura on the top of this hill which was ruled by him. The place was later known as Mahishooru (Place of Mahisha) and Mysuru in a general Kannada phonetic pronunciation. Later, the British anglicized it to Mysore.

The Brindavan Gardens is a garden located 12 k.ms from the city of Mysore in the Mandya District of the Indian State of Karnataka. It lies adjoining the Krishnarajasagara Dam which is built across the river Kaveri. The work on laying out this garden was started in the year 1927 and completed in 1932. Visited by close to 2 million tourists per year, the garden is one of the major attractions of Srirangapatna. Sir Mirza Ismail, the Deewan of Mysore, a man with a penchant for gardens, founded the Brindavan Gardens (Krishnaraja Sagar Dam in particular) and built the Cauvery River high-level canal to irrigate 120,000 acres (490 km2) in modern Mandya district. The gardens were designed by German botanist and landscape designer Gustav Hermann Krumbiegel.

Mysuru palace was originally built in wood and was destroyed once by lightning (in 1638 AD), once by Tipu Sultan (in 1739 AD) and once again by fire in 1897 AD. Current Mysuru Palace is the fourth reconstruction, completed in 1912 and designed by British architect, Henry Irwin.

The Botanical Gardens, Ooty was established in the year 1847 by Marquis of Tweedale but was the brainchild of the architect, McIvor. It is situated on the hill locks of Ooty and is home to the rare paper bark tree, 20 million old fossil trees, the monkey puzzle tree and more. The gardens, divided into several sections, cover an area of around 22 hectares (54 acres), and lie on the lower slopes of Doddabetta peak. The garden has a terraced layout. It is maintained by the Tamil Nadu Horticulture Department. It ascends the slopes of the hill at an elevation of 2250–2500 metres above mean sea level. The garden enjoys a temperate climate, with an average rainfall of 140 cm, the most of which is received during south-west monsoon, with frosty nights from November to February. The maximum and minimum temperatures are 28 °C and 0 °C respectively.

Ooty lake is a lake near Ooty in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, India. It covers an area of 26 hectares (64 acres). The boathouse on the lake is a major tourist attraction. It is an artificial lake constructed by John Sullivan in 1824. The water flowing down mountain streams in the Ooty valley was dammed to form the lake. The lake became empty on three occasions when it breached its bund. Originally, the lake was intended to be used for fishing, with ferries being used to travel across the lake. It gradually shrunk from its original size, giving place to the current bus stand, race course and the lake park. The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation, on behalf of the Tourism Department, took possession of the lake in 1973 to provide boating facilities as a tourist attraction.

Gass Forest Museum is a government run natural history museum situated at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Toward the end of the 19th century, an aborted attempt was made by J. A. Gamble, the conservator of forests for Madras Presidency, to establish a forest museum in the province. A few years later in 1902, Gamble's successor as Conservator of Forests Horace Arichibald Gass succeeded in establishing a museum for forestry. It was opened to the public 15 April 1902 by Baron Ampthill, the then Governor of Madras, at that point simply referred to as the Forest Museum at Coimbatore. When Gass, the first curator, retired in 1905, his successor F. A. Lodge renamed the museum in his honor. It was expanded in 1905 and 1915. In 1912, the Madras Forestry College (currently the Tamil Nadu Forest Academy) was established in the museum grounds to train foresters. Gedee Car Museum or GD Museum, is a private vintage car museum located in the city of Coimbatore, India. The museum was founded by GD Gopal in 2015 as a commemoration of his late father, Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu. During its inauguration, the museum was endowed with a distinctive assortment of automobiles originating from Britain, Germany, Japan, France, Spain, and the United States. This collection encompasses nearly 35 different brands and comprises the private accumulation of G.D. Naidu Charities, which has been amassing these vehicles for over four decades. Also, the museum received eight cars donated by other vintage car enthusiasts.
