The Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a union territory of India comprising 836 islands, of which only 31 are inhabited. The islands are grouped into two main clusters: the northern Andaman Islands and the southern Nicobar Islands, separated by a 150 km (93 mi) wide channel. The capital and largest city of the territory, Port Blair (officially Sri Vijaya Puram), is located approximately 1,190 km (740 mi) from Chennai and 1,255 km (780 mi) from Kolkata in mainland India. The islands are situated between the Bay of Bengal to the west and the Andaman Sea to the east. The northernmost point is 901 km (560 mi) from the mouth of the Hooghly River. Indira Point, located at 6°45'10″N and 93°49'36″E on the southern tip of Great Nicobar, is the southernmost point of India.

Genetic and cultural studies suggest that the indigenous Andamanese people may have been isolated from other populations during the Middle Paleolithic era, more than 30,000 years ago. Archeological evidence of civilisation has been dated back to 2,200 years. In the 11th century, Cholas, one of the three Tamil kingdoms, used the islands as a naval base to launch expeditions in South-East Asia. The Danish were the first Europeans to arrive on the islands in 1755. The islands became part of the British Raj in 1868. During the Second World War, the islands were invaded by the Empire of Japan. After Indian Independence in 1947, the region became a province and later a union territory after the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1950.

Hotels Standard check in time is 1400 Hrs and check out time is 1000 Hrs. Early check in and late check- out are subject to availability at Hotel and may Incur extra Charges.

For transfers and sightseeing we will use small cars / Tempo Travelers / Mini or big coaches depending on the respective tour group size.

In case of small cars there will be 4-6 guests in one car. If you wish to utilize the vehicle solely for yourself or your family or you would like to upgrade the vehicle, we can arrange the same at an additional cost subject to availability.

As per GOI regulations any refund from Travvy Travel for both, Indian or International tours will be paid only in Indian rupees by A/C payee cheque/ NEFT/RTGS, even if guest has made the tour payment partly or fully in foreign currency.

Convenience Charge for the payments made by Credit Card, Debit Card, Online Transfer etc., is non-refundable.

For FIT/Customized packages, Holiday Design Fee charged at the time of enquiry is non-refundable in case guests do not book the holiday with Travvy Travel .

Payment Made online using Credit / Debit Cards / Net Banking / UPI will be Credited back as per the refund policy of Paymnet Gateway. Generally It Takes 7 to 10 working Days.

Payment made Directly in our Bank account through NEFT / RTGS / Cheque / UPI or Cash will be credited back in the Bank account Provided by the Guest with in 7 Working days from the Approval of the Refund.
